GemBet Review: Local Deposits, Unpublished MYR Withdrawal Limits
GemBet is a casino and sportsbook with a dedicated Malaysian site, gem-myr.com, priced in ringgit and with a help centre in English and Bahasa Melayu. We checked everything on this page on 28 October 2026.
We score GemBet 3.0 out of 5 (see our rating scale). GemBet does well on local deposit options and bonus disclosure, but when we checked on 28 October 2026, its Anjouan licence, held by Grand Complications N.V., covered only gem.bet and kavabet.com and not its Malaysian site, and it published no minimum, maximum or daily limits for Malaysian bank or crypto withdrawals. In July 2026 Singapore police also arrested nine people over a syndicate they linked to a platform known as GemBet; no charges or convictions have been published, and we could not confirm that platform is run by the same operator as the Malaysian site.
Who Runs GemBet and What Its Licence Covers
GemBet's own site names its operator as Grand Complications N.V., registered in Curacao under number 164198, and says payments are handled by Rockman Enterprises Limited, a Cyprus company (HE 381928). These are GemBet's own statements; we did not check either company registry.
GemBet says it operates under Anjouan (Union of Comoros) Licence No. ALSI-122405027-FI2. When we checked on 28 October 2026, the Anjouan register showed that licence as active, held by Grand Complications N.V., and covering gem.bet and its sister brand kavabet.com only. The Malaysian site, gem-myr.com, is not on the record.
The Anjouan system is itself disputed: ABC News reported in December 2025 that the Comoros Central Bank called the Anjouan licensing bodies "fictitious structures". GemBet's page also carries a separate, generic Curacao licence claim. Gaming Curacao's old master licence expired on 18 August 2024, so any Curacao licence claim attached to GemBet is out of date. Malaysia licenses no online casinos, so GemBet holds no Malaysian licence and no Malaysian regulator oversees its terms, limits or disputes.
The Singapore Police Statement
In a release dated 25 July 2026, the Singapore Police Force said it had arrested nine people aged 17 to 55, between 22 and 24 July 2026, over a syndicate it described as "operating an illegal online gambling platform known as GemBet". Police said they froze over S$39,000 and identified nine company bank accounts linked to six shell companies (companies that exist mainly on paper). These are allegations under investigation, and no charges or convictions have been published. Separately, The Straits Times reported in July 2026 that the GemBet platform used by Singapore players routed their World Cup 2026 PayNow deposits and payouts through three Singapore companies incorporated in 2026, each registered to an HDB flat (Singapore public housing) rather than a business address.
The police statement does not name the company behind the platform, and we could not confirm that it refers to the same operator that runs GemBet's Malaysian site, gem-myr.com. It is the same brand name, but that alone does not prove a link.
The 288% Welcome Bonus and What It Really Costs
To its credit, GemBet publishes detailed bonus terms. As checked on 28 October 2026, the slots welcome bonus is 288% up to RM2,880 and the live casino bonus is 100% up to RM300. Only one welcome bonus is allowed, from a RM50 minimum deposit.
Turnover is (deposit + bonus) x 25 on slots and x 30 on live casino. While a bonus is active, only stakes up to RM5 a spin on slots, or RM100 a round on live casino, count towards it.
- Worked example — deposit RM1,000, the most that qualifies for slots, and you get a RM2,880 bonus. (RM1,000 + RM2,880) x 25 = RM97,000 of turnover at no more than RM5 a spin: roughly 19,400 qualifying spins, all within 30 days.
GemBet's terms say cancelling the bonus forfeits your deposit and your entire balance (a so-called sticky bonus), and unfinished turnover cancels it automatically on day 30. Rebates do not build up while a bonus is active, and no maximum cash-out on bonus winnings is published. Every deposit, bonus or not, must also be wagered once before you can ask for a withdrawal.
Deposits and Withdrawals: What Is and Isn't Published
GemBet's eight Malaysian deposit methods are TruePay, Surepay, Touch 'n Go, DuitNow, EeziePay, SuperPay, DGPay and crypto, which between them also accept GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay and DuitNow QR. As checked on 28 October 2026, five methods start at RM30, and per-transaction maximums are published for several methods, up to RM50,000 on SuperPay FPX.
Withdrawals are narrower. As of 28 October 2026, Malaysian players can withdraw by bank transfer, voucher or crypto only, with no e-wallet or DuitNow option.
- Fee — 1% on every withdrawal. GemBet says it comes back later through Daily Rebates, a separate credit, not a waiver.
- Limits — no minimum, maximum or daily limit is published for Malaysian bank or crypto withdrawals. GemBet's own table says "Check your VIP page", and it confirms a 24-hour limit exists without stating the amount.
- Voucher route — the only Malaysian option with published limits: RM30 minimum and RM10,000 maximum, blocked until your last deposit has been wagered once.
GemBet does publish exact limits for Singapore players (as of 28 October 2026: S$50 minimum, S$5,000 per request and S$30,000 a day on PayNow), so the information exists. See what to check before depositing real money.
Games: What We Could Confirm
GemBet runs a sportsbook alongside its casino, with its own bonus terms and, when we checked on 28 October 2026, ringgit sports tournament promotions. As checked on that date, its First Bet Shield gives a fixed RM150 free bet, valid for 30 days, if your first ever sports bet, a single football bet of at least RM150 at odds of 1.70 or more, loses.
Slots and live casino exist, since GemBet publishes bonus terms for both. We could not open the game list on GemBet's live site, so we have no verified provider list or game count, and we could not confirm either way whether it offers 4D or fishing games.
What Players Report
When we checked on 28 October 2026, GemBet's Trustpilot profile showed 3.9 from 370 reviews. Trustpilot's own labels show the profile is claimed by GemBet (registered to the business as its own), is on a paid Trustpilot subscription and was merged from other profiles, and 359 of the 370 reviews came in the last 12 months, so we give the headline score little weight.
Players on Trustpilot have reported payouts refused on fairness grounds and withdrawals held for days. In October 2026 one reviewer reported a S$2,350 balance rejected in full after a platform glitch, and another reported S$1,750 denied for alleged "uneven betting". At least 6 of the 20 latest one-star reviews are tagged Malaysia, though none documents a specific unpaid sum. GemBet's terms list arbitrage (betting across sites to lock in a profit), opposite betting (backing both sides of the same bet) and bonus hunting (signing up mainly to collect bonuses) as reasons it can bar you from bonuses or close your account for good.
On AskGamblers the record is better: as of 28 October 2026, a 7.7/10 rating and one formal complaint, for EUR 167, after an account was closed about an hour after a withdrawal request under "professional sports player" terms. It is marked resolved, and the player confirmed he was paid in full.
There is no Malaysian regulator to complain to about GemBet, so AskGamblers' complaint service is the one route on record that has worked for a player. You can also report a problem with GemBet to us.
Before You Hand Over Your Details
To withdraw, GemBet requires a verified bank account. It also has an ID upload that accepts an ID card (front and back) or a passport, though it does not say this is required before a first withdrawal. Either way, the companies GemBet names are its operator, Grand Complications N.V. in Curacao, and a payment company in Cyprus (by GemBet's own account), and there is no Malaysian regulator to turn to if anything goes wrong.
We could not confirm whether GemBet offers app-based games such as Mega888 or 918Kiss. If any casino asks you to install a game app from a download link instead of Google Play or the App Store, be careful: such apps can put your phone and banking apps at risk.
The Verdict
GemBet is built for Malaysian players in ways many brands are not: a ringgit site, a Bahasa Melayu help centre, eight local deposit methods and unusually detailed public bonus terms. That is why its score is not lower.
On the other side, its Anjouan licence, held by Grand Complications N.V., comes from a regime whose standing the Comoros Central Bank has disputed (as ABC News reported) and covers only gem.bet and kavabet.com, not the Malaysian site; minimum, maximum and daily limits for Malaysian bank and crypto withdrawals are unpublished; and every withdrawal costs 1% (all as checked on 28 October 2026). Singapore police have arrested nine people over a syndicate they linked to a platform with the same brand name; no charges or convictions have been published, and we could not confirm it is run by the Malaysian site's operator. We rate GemBet 3.0 out of 5. Weigh these points against what matters to you, or compare the other casinos we have rated.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is GemBet licensed?
Not by any Malaysian authority: Malaysia licenses no online casinos. GemBet's own site says it operates under Anjouan (Union of Comoros) Licence No. ALSI-122405027-FI2. When we checked on 28 October 2026, the Anjouan register showed that licence as active, held by Grand Complications N.V. and covering only gem.bet and kavabet.com; GemBet's Malaysian site, gem-myr.com, is not on the record. ABC News reported in December 2025 that the Comoros Central Bank called the Anjouan licensing bodies "fictitious structures".
Is GemBet safe to play at?
We rate GemBet 3.0 out of 5 and set out the facts so you can decide. On 25 July 2026 the Singapore Police Force announced nine arrests over a syndicate it described as "operating an illegal online gambling platform known as GemBet". These are allegations under investigation, and no charges or convictions have been published. The police statement does not name the company behind the platform, and we could not confirm that it refers to the same operator that runs GemBet's Malaysian site, gem-myr.com; it is the same brand name. Separately, when we checked on 28 October 2026, the Anjouan licence held by Grand Complications N.V. covered only gem.bet and kavabet.com, not gem-myr.com, and GemBet published no minimum, maximum or daily limits for Malaysian bank or crypto withdrawals.
Who runs GemBet?
GemBet's own site names Grand Complications N.V., registered in Curacao under number 164198, as the operating company, and says payments are handled by Rockman Enterprises Limited in Cyprus. Those are GemBet's own statements; we did not check either company registry.
How much turnover does the GemBet welcome bonus need?
As checked on 28 October 2026, the slots welcome bonus is 288% up to RM2,880, with turnover of (deposit + bonus) x 25. A RM1,000 deposit gives a RM2,880 bonus, so you must turn over RM97,000 within 30 days, and only stakes up to RM5 a spin count. GemBet's terms say cancelling the bonus forfeits your deposit and your entire balance.
Can I withdraw from GemBet to Touch 'n Go or DuitNow?
No. As of 28 October 2026, GemBet's Malaysian withdrawals are by bank transfer, voucher or cryptocurrency only, even though Touch 'n Go and DuitNow are deposit options. GemBet charges 1% on every withdrawal and does not publish minimum, maximum or daily limits for Malaysian bank or crypto withdrawals.
What can I do if GemBet keeps my balance?
There is no Malaysian regulator to complain to. The one route on record that has worked for a player is AskGamblers' complaint service: its one formal GemBet complaint, for EUR 167 after an account was closed following a withdrawal request, was resolved with the player confirming full payment. You can also tell us about it through the Report a Casino page on this site.
